Tour Plan
Day 1 – Arrival in Sarajevo
Arrival at Sarajevo International Airport and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 2 – Sarajevo City and War Tour
Begin the day with a Sarajevo Free Walking Tour. Highlights include Baščaršija Square, Sebilj Fountain, the Oldest Street, Old Orthodox Church, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Sarajevo Synagogue, Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, Clock Tower, Caravanserai, Madrasa, Bazaar, Meeting of Cultures spot, Sarajevo Roses, Hotel Europe, the Latin Bridge, and the Assassination Spot.
In the afternoon, join the Sarajevo War Tour. Key sites include the Yellow Fortress, City Hall, Defenders' Cemetery, Olympic Stadium Koševo, Hall Zetra, Romeo and Juliet’s Grave, St. Vitus Chapel, Sniper Alley, Hotel Holiday, former military barracks, Tunnel of Hope, bobsleigh track, frontlines, and more.
Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 3 – Višegrad, Drvengrad and Andrićgrad
After breakfast, depart for East Bosnia and West Serbia. Visit the UNESCO-listed Old Bridge in Višegrad, Andrićgrad (Stonetown), and the Dobrun Monastery.
Continue into Serbia to see the timber-built Ethno Village Drvengrad, followed by the unique experience of riding the Šargan Eight railway.
Return to Sarajevo for overnight.
Day 4 – Mostar and Herzegovina Region
Visit Konjic and its famous Ottoman bridge, then continue to Jablanica and learn about the Battle of the Neretva.
Stop at Kravice Waterfalls, a beautiful natural treasure, before heading to Blagaj to see the Dervish Monastery by the Buna spring.
End the day in Mostar, home to the iconic Old Bridge and a city filled with history and charm.
Return to Sarajevo for overnight.
Day 5 – Travnik and Jajce
Head to Travnik, once the seat of Ottoman viziers. Explore the medieval fortress, Jeni Mosque, Sulejmanija Mosque, Jesuit Grammar School, and Elči Ibrahim-Pasha Madrasa. Enjoy a coffee beside Plava Voda.
Continue to Jajce to see the impressive waterfall at the centre of town, medieval catacombs, and the scenic Pliva Lakes and watermills.
Return to Sarajevo for overnight.
Day 6 – Visoko or Srebrenica (Choose One Option)
Option 1: Visoko
Visit the archaeological site of the Bosnian pyramids and explore the Ravne Tunnels. Afterwards, tour Visoko and visit the Old Tabhanska Mosque, Franciscan Monastery, and White Mosque.
Option 2: Srebrenica
Take a full-day tour to the Potocari Memorial Complex to learn about the 1995 genocide. Visit the memorial site, photo exhibitions, and explore the town and its famous water springs.
Return to Sarajevo for overnight.
Day 7 – Bijambare Caves or Lukomir Village (Choose One Option)
Option 1: Bijambare Caves
Drive to Bijambare and enjoy a scenic walk through pine forests to reach the cave complex. Visit the Middle, Upper, and Lower Caves, and view ancient Stećci tombstones.
Option 2: Lukomir Village
Travel to Bosnia’s highest inhabited village. Admire its stone houses, cherry-wood roofs, and the breathtaking view of Rakitnica Canyon. Hike around Obalj and Visočica mountains and enjoy the raw natural beauty.
Return to Sarajevo for overnight.
Day 8 – Departure
Transfer to Sarajevo Airport according to your flight schedule. End of the tour.
