  1. Orlovača Cave
    The tour begins with a short drive of approximately 25 minutes to Orlovača Cave, located 18 km from Sarajevo near the village of Sumbulovac. The cave is situated on Orlovača Hill, just a kilometer from the main road that connects Sarajevo and Zvornik.

Upon arrival, visitors will explore the cave’s fascinating interior, which is filled with striking stalactites and stalagmites. The temperature inside the cave remains a constant 9°C, providing a refreshing atmosphere regardless of the season.

Archaeological finds in the cave include Mesolithic pottery shards, indicating that the cave was inhabited thousands of years ago. Additionally, the remains of Cave Bears (Ursus spelaeus), which roamed the region over 16,000 years ago, have been discovered here.

Visitors will walk along the 560-meter-long tourist path, which is well-lit and equipped with concrete pathways. The surrounding area is perfect for a leisurely walk or picnic by the small stream nearby.

    After exploring Orlovača Cave, the tour continues to Jahorina Mountain, which hosted several events during the 1984 Winter Olympics. The mountain remains a popular destination for skiing, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities, with over 40 km of ski slopes.

The guide will provide insights into the Olympic history of Jahorina, focusing on the women’s skiing competitions held here.
