Baščaršija and Sebilj Fountain
We begin in the heart of the Ottoman-era Baščaršija market, surrounded by traditional shops, copper artisans, and the iconic Sebilj Fountain. This is where Sarajevo was born and where East meets West.

Old Orthodox Church and Kazandžiluk
As we make our way down the oldest street in Sarajevo, your guide will introduce you to centuries-old religious buildings like the Old Orthodox Church and share stories of Sarajevo's diverse religious coexistence.

City Hall and Latin Bridge
We stop at Sarajevo City Hall, one of the most famous Austro-Hungarian buildings in the Balkans. Across the river is the Latin Bridge, where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914, an event that triggered the First World War.

Morića Han and Gazi Husrev-bey’s Complex
Back in Baščaršija, we explore a preserved Ottoman inn and continue to Gazi Husrev-bey’s Mosque and Clock Tower. Here you’ll learn about Ottoman education, trade, and spiritual life in Bosnia.

Meeting of Cultures and Sacred Heart Cathedral
We walk the exact point where East meets West and continue through the Austro-Hungarian quarter, passing Hotel Europe and reaching the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the largest Catholic church in Bosnia.

Sarajevo Roses and Jewish Synagogue
Your guide will point out Sarajevo Roses, the red resin-filled scars on the pavement marking locations where people lost their lives during the siege. We finish near the Ashkenazi Synagogue, a symbol of Sarajevo’s Jewish history.

Most importantly, this free walking tour is led by passionate young guides who were born and raised in Sarajevo. They’re not only knowledgeable but genuinely excited to share their hometown with you, including some hidden corners that most tourists wouldn’t discover on their own.
