Skakavac Waterfall Tour
Overview
Explore the Beauty of Skakavac
Just 12 kilometres from Sarajevo, Skakavac Waterfall is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most spectacular natural wonders. At 98 metres tall, the waterfall may not be large in volume, but its graceful descent and untouched surroundings make it a favourite destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
On this tour, you can choose between a scenic hike or a more dynamic mountain bike ride through the lush forests that lead to Skakavac. Along the way, you’ll follow forest trails lined with springs, wildlife and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Whether walking or riding, the path offers a peaceful escape into nature with plenty of fresh air and photo opportunities.
Skakavac has both natural and historical importance. During the 1990s, the area around the waterfall served as a refuge, and today it stands as a symbol of resilience and natural beauty. With drinkable spring water, benches for resting and diverse flora and fauna, the trails are welcoming to both beginners and more experienced explorers.
